The Barron River half day tour is a fantastic White Water Rafting experience. Choose from Morning & Afternoon sessions. The Barron River is just 20 minutes from Cairns. Minimum age is 12 years.
Please Note: Afternoon Rafting is the only option until further notice.
Features
- Approximately 2 hours of rafting Grade 3 rapids
- Visit Barron Gorge National Park
- All rafting equipment and life vests supplied
- Rafts carry up to 7 passengers plus River Guide
- All tuition (no experience necessary)
- Accommodation transfers from Cairns, Northern Beach & Port Douglas (except for self-drive)
Pick-up and Departure times
The Barron River is only 20 minutes from Cairns & Northern Beaches & just 40 minutes from Port Douglas.
- Pick up Port Douglas : 1:15pm daily
- Return Port Douglas : 6:30pm
- Pick up Cairns : 2pm daily
- Return Cairns : 5:45pm
Self Drive Option
For a self-drive, meet the group at the Lake Placid Car Park at 2:30pm.
What to Bring
- Wear swimming costume under your clothes
- Towel
- Leave all jewelery and valuables at your accommodation
- Change of clothes
- Water resistant sunscreen
- Secure Footwear - lace up shoes or sandals that will get wet
